Their pre-existing system, based on local installation and management, was plagued by inefficiencies. Enhancing Truck Operator Performance through Advanced IoT Analytics
Our client is one of Canada’s leading mining companies, focused on providing products that are essential to building a better quality of life for people around the globe. Their objective was to enhance truck operator performance, thereby optimizing the use of truck assets.
To tackle this challenge, a sophisticated Adastra´s IoT data collection system was implemented. This system gathered real-time data from trucks operating within the mine, tracking their performance on mine roads and during load deliveries. By comparing the performance of individual truck operators against their peers, the system identified areas where performance was lacking. The solution integrated Azure IoT Hub, Azure Synapse, and Power BI for reporting, along with an Azure web application for streamlined report delivery.
The implementation of this IoT-driven solution yielded significant improvements:
