Adastra triumphed in two of the eight categories at the 23rd Microsoft Awards, where Microsoft recognizes solutions or applications from its partners. Adastra received its first award in the Data & Analytics category for the “New Data Platform – Data Lake” solution for Eurowag, and the second in the Digital Transformation & Sustainability Award category for the “Sales Outlet Monitoring” solution for LEGO Trading.
At the start of Adastra’s project for Eurowag, a data strategy was implemented, followed by cloud migration, foundational data analytics for vehicles, corporate reporting foundations, and ultimately, the data lake.
“All the data models we had on-premises are now in the cloud, allowing us to scale and operate everything with just a click. With our single version of truth in the data lake, we can now move towards data democratization, telling people: all the data is here, and you can click to find what you need,” summarizes Václav Dorazil, Head of Data at Eurowag, on the practical outcomes of Adastra’s solution.
He discusses the details in the Adastra podcast, which is available for listening or reading.

The goal of Adastra’s solution for LEGO was to map the needs of shoppers in physical stores, improving services and products for customers and enhancing support for physical retailers through relevant data.
“Due to a lack of facts, we were capable of having internal disagreements. Now we’ll continue to argue, but over specific data. We will also be able to advise the retailer, consult with them, and explain why we believe our recommended step is the right one,” says Petr Břoušek, Trade & Marketing Manager at LEGO for the Russia, Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa region.
He also speaks in the Adastra podcast, which you can listen to or read.

The theme for this year’s Microsoft Awards was to nominate projects that support the digital transformation of the Czech and Slovak Republics and their sustainable economic and social growth. Among the eight winning projects are solutions for companies across various segments from the chemical and manufacturing industries to logistics, insurance services, and state institutions. All these projects unify the most efficient use of technology to ensure security, simplify and automate existing processes and communication, and save energy, financial, or human resources.
