As quarantine measures relax, businesses must still follow numerous steps to mitigate COVID-19 risk. It seems simple from the outside: split employees into groups to avoid contact, possibly even into thirds, but it’s complex, explains Štěpán Kopřiva, CTO of Blindspot Solution.
What if a team needs a specialist, but there are fewer specialists than teams, as often seen in IT companies? Or if someone takes leave or falls ill? Replacing them with someone from another team risks spreading the infection across the entire company, leading to a full quarantine.
Mathematically, we need to minimize the number of intermingling people while managing specialist availability, remote work, vacations, sick leave, and legal breaks between shifts.
“We allow for dynamic addition of new workers. A new employee gets a link to our web app and easily joins the team, expanding teams in, for example, logistics or food delivery companies,” Kopřiva clarifies.
Such planning without a smart system is extremely challenging, but Kopřiva asserts their platform can be set up in days, suitable for small businesses like restaurants or larger service sector companies.
“Offices are reopening, but many don’t know how to proceed, like how many people to allow or who should come in and when. We provide those answers,” Kopřiva adds, noting companies must decide how many people to admit at once.
Moreover, Blindspot offers solutions for monitoring where employees gather within the company, where they fail to maintain required distances, thereby increasing infection risk. This helps adjust work conditions and processes, ensuring a safer work environment.
