Toronto, Canada. December 5, 2017. Adastra Group has acquired a 50 percent stake in Blindspot Solutions, specialists in artificial intelligence and machine learning. This latest acquisition reinforces our leading position in the fields of information management and digitalization.
“Joining forces with Blindspot Solutions is a big step into the future for us; it is a strategic move to complement our existing portfolio of digitalization and information management services,” says Pavel Kysela, CEO of Adastra CZ. “Thanks to this acquisition, we are now at the forefront of many fields, ranging from data warehousing, business intelligence, the Internet of things, and big data to artificial intelligence, machine learning, and developing mobile applications. Together, these form a comprehensive suite of services that will help our clients become market leaders in the imminent digital revolution.”
In the four years since its inception, Blindspot Solutions has already implemented dozens of projects for startups as well as for established corporations both in the Czech Republic and abroad. It has worked with the German organization TÜV SÜD, the American startup LookingGlass, Czech Socialbakers, the Danish enterprise LogPoint, and Italian DFLabs, among others. This year, Blindspot Solutions has doubled its annual turnover and now has 25 employees. As a result of its acquisition by Adastra, the company plans to expand its repertoire of experts.
“Joining Adastra Group not only gives us the opportunity to enhance our customer roster with key players but also supports our ambition to establish a unique AI and machine-learning workplace in this region,” says Michal Pěchouček, one of Blindspot Solutions’ founders. “We would like to compete with the global corporations that create hundreds of positions focused on machine learning; those who want to make a living at the top levels of artificial intelligence should not have to go to Zurich or London, but should come to work for Blindspot in Prague.”
