Debt counseling at People in Need is delivered by a team of more than 80 advisors. Each advisor was working with their own documents, templates, and supporting materials, which led to:

Low-Code Platform for Automated Document Creation

Adastra implemented a solution built on Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate, based on three pillars:

Centralized Database

A structured database containing all legal materials and a unified library of legal texts mapped to specific creditors and types of issues. This enables management and updates of all legal arguments in one place.

User Application for Advisors

Advisors fill in basic client and contract information (20 fields), identify issues such as excessive interest rates, legal violations, or insufficient creditworthiness assessment, and generate complete, ready-to-use legal documentation with a single click.

Automated Document Generator

The application uses parameterized templates for various scenarios (e.g., overpayment, underpayment, settlement) and automatically:

  • Selects relevant legal arguments based on the creditor type and issue
  • Generates conclusions based on the client’s financial situation
  • Creates different types of documents, from overpayment refund requests and repayment schedules to debt settlement or termination documents

A key advantage is immediate updates: new court rulings and legislative changes are automatically reflected in all newly generated documents.
